Can She "Hack" It?

Shelley appeared on the cover of Screen Stories in September of 1979. The headline about her refers to her then status as the newest Charlie's Angel. As with previous seasons of the TV show, reports about the Angels were all over the fan mags and tabloids and Shelley wasn't spared.

Vacation Mates

Shelley modeled "Vacation Mates" for Bobbie Brooks in 1972. Her short-sleeved sunny-yellow sort of leisure suit was deemed a stylish choice for the young miss on vacation. Her floppy hat is very cute, and I always thought Shelley looked good in yellow.

Angel No. 5

Shelley, Charlie's Angel No. 5, appeared on the cover
of National Medical Bulletin in October of 1979.

Paparazzi Captured

Shelley's sunny smile was captured by the paparazzi in this late '80s pic.
The golden sort of filigree-style earrings was a fave of hers.
She wore them on many occasions.

Hand-Loomed

Shelley appeared in an ad for Harold Levine in the mid-'70s. She wore a hand-loomed dress that followed the body, "filigreeing" at the top and cuffs. It was designed by Don Breitinger.

Angel Alumnae

Two Angel alumnae was the topic of this 1983 article. Shelley and fellow Charlie's Angel Kate Jackson were appearing in their new TV series, both debuting in the fall of 1983. Cutter to Houston was a medical drama. Shelley co-starred with Jim Metzler and Alec Baldwin. Scarecrow and Mrs. King was a detective show that starred Kate and Bruce Boxleitner. But while Shelley's series was prematurely axed, Kate was more fortunate. Scarecrow lasted for four seasons.

Heatherly Mates

Shelley appeared on this Junior Bazaar page of Sears Wish Book in 1970. In this spread called "Heatherly Mates," she wore a "gay plaid jumper" over a "lean and clingy turtleneck top." Behind her is teen superstar model Colleen Corby.

Happy Love Day!

A bogus Valentine's Day version of the Charlie perfume ad
for our bogus flanker Charlie FOREVER

Well, I couldn't resist it. Valentine's Day is coming up, and I just had to make a V-day version of our bogus flanker Charlie FOREVER. And where should Shelley be this time? Where else but in Paris, the city of lights as well as love. Flowers, the Eiffel Tower, an evening in Paris, what more could one ask for? Jour amour heureux, World!

Why Cutter to Houston

Shelley starred in  the 1983 TV series Cutter to Houston with Jim Metzler and Alec Baldwin. But why was it called Cutter to Houston? "The title refers to the link between a small hospital in Cutter, Texas, and the Texas Medical Centre in the city of Houston," according to this newspaper clipping. Shelley played surgeon Dr. Beth Gilbert.

For Spring

Shelley modeled a floral suit "for spring" in the 1972 spring thru summer issue of Simplicity Home Catalog. Clutching a  bouquet of flowers, Shelley showed readers how to wear the new two-piece suit. And her short skirt definitely bared one of her best assets, her legs. Not only were they long, her legs were slender, delicate and oh, so feminine and sexy.

A Turtleneck for Christmas

Shelley modeled a "turtleneck pullover in skinny rib-knit acrylic" for Sears Christmas Wish Book in 1972. It came in white, navy blue, medium beige, gold, black and bright red. Sabrina Duncan probably had them all... Well, except maybe for the gold.

From Charlie to Charlie's

when Shelley went from "Charlie Girl to Charlie's Angel's"

Sexy Shoulders

One of Shelley's assets, aside from her dazzling smile and her endlessly long gams, were her sexy shoulders. This 1979 pictorial showcased that asset. A bare shoulder teamed with that famous smile... Shelley is a knockout.

Viva Charlie

Shelley  appeared in this 1979 Spanish-language Charlie perfume ad wearing the outfit she wore in the commercial she did with Bobby Short in 1976. The ad was inviting participants to join a contest that Revlon Charlie was holding that year. Viva Charlie!
