Shelley with Lisa Taylor in a spread for Vogue, 1974
Shelley appeared on the pages of Vogue in may of 1974 in a spread called "Summer-Country Smash". In the portion called "Shirt-Dressing Short-Sleeved for Summer", Shelley modeled a couple of fabulous shirt dresses that the mag recommended for summer that year. The pics were taken at the Amelia Island Plantation on Amelia Island, Florida.
Shelley modeling shirt-dresses
Shelley modeled the "shirt-dress you buy in pieces" - that being a white knitted polo shirt top and a white sharkskin pleated skirt, both by Jaeger. A white leather belt was the recommended accessory of choice - as well as a tan. She also modeled an easy, breezy shirt-dress that was perfect for summer. The beige-and-white striped dress was by Mario Forte for Rona. And Shelley looked so chic and summer-ready in both outfits.
