Shelley in a spread for Woman's Day Knitting Book, 1971
Shelley appeared in many knitting books and magazine when she was an in-demand model in the '60s and '70s. In 1971, she appeared in the magazine Woman's Day Knitting Book. In the spread called "Crochet Captures The Look of Yesterday That Is So Fashionable," she wore a dress that readers could crochet themselves. It was a midi length dress with leg o' mutton sleeves, a scoop neckline and bright colors at the midriff. A matching crochet choker and low-heeled footwear finished her look. And with her hair up, Shelley looked 1971 fashionable.
