Shelley appeared in many sewing catalogs when she was a model. In 1971, she appeared on the cover and pages of the Simplicity School Catalog Fall/Winter catalog. In the spread called "The Campus Color Spree," she modeled color-zinged fashion separates that could be worn around any school campus.

She wore pattern no. 9566, a boloro and knickers fashion set. The lined bolero had an optional chain and button closing, had top stitching and nail head trim. The knickers was worn an inch below the normal waistline and had a button-closing fly front, patch packets and nail head trim as well. A striped pullover shirt and lace-up boots finished her look. A knitted skull cap and a fun watch accessorized her look.

She also wore pattern no. 9526, a mini jumper. It had a back zipper, a square neckline and slits in the side seams. A long-sleeved turtleneck top and matching leggings finished her look. A matching belt accessorized her look Shelley looked young, up-to-the-minute and ready to hit the campus grounds.
