Shelley appeared on many catalogs throughout her modeling career. She appeared in Aldens 1971 Spring and Summer Book of Big Ideas wearing the latest trend, the romantic look. The Victorian and Edwardian revival trend was on the rise; and this romantic look of lace and lace-embellished dresses was everywhere, including the catalogs. Aldens came up with their own version of the look and Shelley showed readers how to wear them.

Shelley wore the Super Shirtwaisting look which had loads of lace - because nobody could wear enough. Her white lace top, which was lined except at the sleeves, had a bib-look front, was trimmed with contrasting buttons and had lace trimmings all over. Her printed A-line skirt stopped just above the knee and had an attached velvety and dainty belt at the waist. Peal earrings finished her look. Shelley looked romantic and very feminine.
