a closeup of Shelley from a spread
for the JCPenney Fall and Winter 1977 catalog
Shelley appeared in many catalogs throughout her modeling career. One of them was JCPenney. She appeared in many issues of the department store's catalog from the 1960s (when it was still called Penney's) until the 1970s. She appeared in many spreads on the JCPenney Fall and Winter 1977 catalog. In the spread called "Country Wear," she wore an unconstructed and comfortable poncho, roomy enough to layer over jackets, sweaters and shirts. The Zip-Front Poncho was styled with front welt-seaming and accent stitching. It had button trim and an attached hood with a snap closure. She wore it over a sweater and pants outfit finished with fancy boots and matching gloves. And Shelley looked chic, casual and classy, as always.
