Vogue Hair

Shelley appeared in the March 1975 issue of Vogue magazine modeling the latest hair trend - hair "sculpting" with hands. Italian hairdresser Dina Azzolini showed readers how to work with hair as if it were clay, "sculpting" it to perfection. For that season, Dina thought in terms of pretty, soft, lightly curled hair - with a perfect Cut as foundation, of course. Her innovative tools and unique scissors were also featured. And with Dina's "sculpting", Shelley never looked so good.

She had just become the TV's newest Angel and people around the world were interested in this Charlie Girl turned Charlie's Angel. And the Buenhogar writeup called "El Quinto 'Angel' Se Llama Shelley Hack" (The Fifth 'Angel's' Name is Shelley Hack) does exactly that. Information about Charlie's latest cherub were divulged. Shelley's family, education, supermodel status and, so far, short film career were discussed. Shelley was bona fide superstar.

Shelley appeared in various ads for Jacobson's in 1975. In one of them, she modeled a chic leather Ledaspain by Gropper shirtcoat. Ledaspain was a brand that specialized in fine leather and suede clothing. Alex Gropper, president of Leadaspain, always came out with chic new looks and lines for the chic modern woman. And Shelley was the epitome of 1975 chicness.

From Charlie Girl To Charlie's Angel

Shelley reached Supermodel status in 1976 when she began endorsing Charlie perfume. It was an era when exclusive modeling contracts were unheard of and giant cosmetics companies were beginning to give them out. Shelley signed on to become Revlon's Charlie Girl and the brand became an international sensation, a phenomenon worldwide - catapulting Charlie and Shelley Hack to iconic status. This brought Shelley to the attention of Spelling-Goldberg in 1979. They were looking for a girl to fill in Kate Jackson's empty slot in their hit series Charlie's Angels; and Shelley fit the part to a T. She was THE Charlie Girl, and now she was going to be their newest Charlie's Angel.
