Shelley appeared on many spreads throughout Harper's Bazaar's September 1977 issue. In the spread called "The New Ways of Layering", she and fellow model Linda Tonge showed readers how to layer furs, jackets, vests and coats in order to achieve the luxurious look of the season. Earth tones accented with soft blues and rose, a mix of lengths and textures was what it was all about.

Shelley wore a Mohair Coat Over A Suede Blazer look which was a double-breasted coat over a single-breasted blazer, both worn over a cowl-neck pullover worh over a striped shirt and a front-panel skirt - all by Donna Karan and Louis Dell'Olio for Anne Klein & Co. Matching boots, tote and woven leather belt finished her look. Shelley looked sensational.

First Episode Blues

When Shelley began filming her first episode for Charlie's Angels, "Love Boat Angels", many unfortunate incidents plagued the set. In fact, the cast and crew's plane trip to St. Thomas in the Virgin Islands wasn't smooth. They encountered plane problems, bad weather, a strike, missing luggage and really bad sunburn. "I didn't realize it was going to be this hard," Shelley was quoted saying, "Nevertheless I'm not going to let this put me off wanting to be an Angel." She was determined to make a success out of her new opportunity.

Piggybank Boutique 1

Shelley appeared on the pages of Woman's Day, the July 1971 issue. In the spread called "Piggybank Boutique", quick easy amusing and inexpensive ways to personalize any wardrobe was featured. It showed readers ways to individualize store-bough play clothes and make it their own. Shelley modeled a yellow crop-top and navy shorts that were knit with a washable sport yarn. She accessorized it with a straw hat decorated with metal studs. Matching tights and footwear finished her outfit. Shelley looked fab.

1979 Guest Appearance

Shelley appeared on the The Merv Griffin Show in October of 1979. She was Charlie's newest Angel and fans were eager to get to know Charlie's newest recruit. The other guests that night were researcher Durk Pearson, Dr. Richard Selzer and acupuncturist Dr. Zion Yu. Shelley had been to the show earlier that year in January, before she was cast in the hit series.

The World Belongs To Charlie

Shelley was THE Charlie Girl from 1976 to 1982 and was the one responsible for catapulting the brand (and, in turn, herself as well) to iconic status. By 1978, Charlie was the best selling brand of its genre in the world. So much so that the tagline "Now the world belongs to Charlie" was added in the print ad and Shelley was filmed and photographed striding her famous stride all over the world. Shelley had become a Superstar Model, a  Supermodel.

Short Run

Shelley starred in her second TV series Cutter to Houston in 1983. She along with co-stars Alec Baldwin and Jim Metzler played doctors operating a small clinic in the fictional town of Cutter which was just outside Houston, Texas. The series had a short run despite having good scripts and interesting story lines. Sleeper hits weren't heard of yet when it was aired.

Mix-Em-Up

Shelley appeared on many spreads throughout Sears Fall and Winter 1972 catalog. In the spread called "Mix-Em-Up Knits of Acrilan Acrylic", she modeled pieces that were guaranteed to give normal wear for one full year or your money back or free replacement (whichever is preferred). She wore a black pullover-style Turtleneck Sweater over a multi-colored swirl patterned Wrap-Skirt with heart-shaped buttons on the waistband. A vest in the same multi-colored swirl pattern and heart-shaped button front closing went over her sweater. Matching hose and footwear finished her look. Shelley looked super in her ensemble.
