Shelley appeared in many ads and catalogs for JCPenney in the 1960s and 1970s. In 1972, she appeared in a JCPenney ad with the tagline "Ship Shapes by JCPenney" which featured nautical-inspired separates for modern young women. She wore a sailor-striped top, which was actually a body suit, over boy-cut bell-bottom pants. A wide web nautical belt and a sailors cap (optional of course) finished her look. Heeled wedges would have been recommended for footwear. Shelley looked shipboard ready and smashing.

Superstar Shelley

Shelley was already a world-renowned Supermodel when she joined the cast Charlie's Angels in 1979. But the role of Angel Tiffany Welles turned her into a world-renowned Hollywood Superstar. She became known as the classy Charlie's Angel. Both her Supermodel and Angels image left a lasting impression that was still felt long after she left the series and stopped modeling. In 1983, the Polish mag Film featured her along with a writeup that wondered what she was up to at the time. It read:

She was a Revlon model who graced many magazine covers. And from those covers, she jumped to the silver screen via a Joe Brooks film. She joined the popular TV series Charlie's Angels in one of its later seasons replacing Kate Jackson.

Shelley appeared in a couple of spreads for Simplicity Home Catalog Fall/Winter 1971. The spread called "Jumpers" featured jumpers of every kind. It was the freshest look of the season and the spread showed readers the assorted kinds of jumpers they could make for themselves.

Shelley wore a suspender-style mini jumper. It was in plaid, had a scooped neckline and was worn over a black turtle-neck body stocking. Matching heeled oxfords and a fringed leather shoulder bag finished her look. And Shelley looked super and ready to hit town in her stylish jumper ensemble.

When Shelley became Charlie's Angel no. 5 in 1979, she instantly became the hottest news item. Everyone wanted to get to know THE Charlie Girl who was now a Charlie's Angel. Of course, as THE Charlie perfume Girl, she already had a lot of fans - everyone loved her in those Revlon Charlie commercials and print ads. But now that she was an Angel, everyone wanted to get to know her even more, especially on how her relationship with her new co-stars (incumbent Angels Jaclyn Smith and Cheryl Ladd) was going so far. The tabloid Midnight Globe said that the new Angels team got along just fine as was witnessed firsthand. The tabloid flew a correspondent to the Caribbean, where Shelley's first CA episode was being filmed, and he saw for himself how the girls got along.

Shelley appeared in many knitting books and magazine when she was an in-demand model in the '60s and '70s. In 1971, she appeared in the magazine Woman's Day Knitting Book. In one spread, she modeled a dress made from what was called striated or space dyed yarn, the newest look in yarn back then. She wore a hooded button-up-he-front dress with long sleeves. And Shelley looked 1971 fashionable.

from  A Perry Mason Story: The Case of the Wicked Wives

In December of 1993, Shelley guest starred in A Perry Mason Story: The Case of the Wicked Wives, a TV movie which was a tribute to Raymond Burr, one of Hollywood's most respected actors. Raymond Burr, who famously played Perry Mason in the TV series which ran from 1957 to 1966 and in 26 TV movies, died in September 1993. As a tribute to him, a Perry Mason TV movie was made. But to honor Burr's legacy, the part of Perry Mason wasn't recast. Instead, a new character was brought in, Anthony Caruso (played by Paul Sorvino) who was Mason's good friend. Cast regulars Barbara Hale and William Moses came back. And as guest stars, Supermodels were cast. Shelley Hack, Beverly Johnson, Kim Alexis, Maud Adams and Kathy Ireland played the "wicked wives." Eric Braeden and Paula Marsh rounded out the cast. The telemovie was released on DVD in 2016. It was also released on DVD in Spanish as Perry Mason: El Caso de las Esposas Malvadas in 2017.
