Shelley's third foray into series TV was Jack and Mike. It was about a married yuppie couple living in Chicago, trying to find time for each other in their busy schedules. Shelley played Jackie Shea, a star columnist at The Mirror, a widely-circulated Chicago paper. Her column was awaited by everyone every week. Her husband was Mike Brennan (played by Tom Mason), a successful restaurateur. The other cast members were: Nora Adler (Jacqueline Brookes), Jackie’s editor at The  Mirror;  Anthony Kubecek (Kevin Dunn), a reporter at the Chicago Mirror; Carol (Holly Fulger), the head waitress at Mike's new restaurant, Brennan's Grill; and Rick Scotti (Vincent Baggetta), an attorney who appears occasionally. The series, created by Sara Davidson, was filmed on location in Chicago, Illinois.

Jackie and Mike are entertaining Gil and Dede, investors in one of Mike's restaurants with whom Mike promised to make dinner. Jackie is slightly annoyed by them, and Mike is as well - because the couple likes bragging about their kids and their lifestyle. Mike returns from the kitchen with some appetizers and describes the meal he is about to make for them tonight, how delicious it will be. Gil and Dede are skeptical. The phone rings and Jackie answers it from the kitchen. It's Dr. Cooperman with news. Jackie puts the phone down as Mike returns to the kitchen, ready to start cooking. Jackie has news and she asks Mike to sit. Mike says he can't sit and starts cooking so Jackie just blurts it out. She's pregnant.

A Taste for Life

Shelley was THE quintessential Charlie Girl and appeared in many, many ads for the brand. In 1979, she appeared in a newspaper ad for Charlie called "A Taste for Life." It was a promo that offered customers a cone of Baskin Robbins ice cream for every $3.00 purchase of Charlie cosmetics or fragrances, because Charlie was "sparkling, fun as well as functioning." The offer was good while supplies lasted.

Brilliant Film

Shelley starred in one of the most unforgettable horror films from the 1980s, The Stepfather, which was loosely based on on the story of John List, the New Jersey man who, in 1971, killed his own family and disappeared. The psychological thriller was directed by Joseph Ruben and filmed in Canada. It was released theatrically in 1987 and has gained a cult following ever since. The main cast (Jill Schoelen, Terry O'Quinn and Shelley Hack) gave excellent performances and received great reviews.

The YouTube show Matrenox Reviews reviewed The Stepfather a year ago. Matrenox came across the film one night and was really surprised. She enjoyed watching it. She was impressed by the opening scene and was hooked. She thought it was brilliant. She also liked the fact that the film was not a gore-fest, had an interesting plot, had likeable characters and kept the audience in suspense. She thought the main cast gave great performances but was not familiar with any of them except for Shelley Hack, whom she knew from Charlie's Angels. It's fun how Matrenox called Shelley's character Tiffany when her character's name in the film was actually Susan. Tiffany Welles was Shelley's character in Charlie's Angels. Overall, fun review.

Shelley appeared in many catalogs throughout her modeling career. One of them was JCPenney. She appeared in many issues of the department store's catalog from the '60s (when it was still called Penney's) until the '70s. She appeared in many spreads on the JCPenney Fall and Winter 1972 catalog.

In one spread called "Sporty," she modeled a jacket made from real sueded split-leather. The Bush-Style Jacket was cut close to the body and was lined with rayon-acetate. It had snappy details like patch pockets, snap buttons throughout and contrast stitching. It came with a self-fabric belt with a rectangular buckle. She wore it over a shirt and trouser ensemble. Matching leather gloves and a patchwork-style knitted skullcap finished her look. Shelley looked fab and ready for those outdoor shindigs.

Casbah Capers

Shelley did a lot of ads during her modeling days. One of them was for Gay Gibson, a clothing line for women. In the 1970 dubbed "Gay Gibson's Casbah Capers," she wore an outfit that was perfect for a night out in town or a weekend adventure trail. The Moroccan-inspired Sheik Jumpsuit she wore was decorated on the bodice with native braiding. A coordinating head scarf, fun bracelet and matching open-toe heeled sandals finished her look. And Shelley looked super chic.

Classic TV Movie

Shelley starred in her very first TV-movie Death Car on the Freeway in 1979. It was directed by stuntman-turned-director Hal Needham who also directed Smokey and the Bandit and later, The Cannonball Run. The film also starred - to name a few - George Hamilton, Peter Graves, Frank Gorshin, Barbara Rush, Dinah Shore, Abe Vigoda, Morgan Brittany and Hal Needham himself. It's one of the most impressive teleflicks to come out of that era. It has the right balance of action, drama and suspense; and it keeps viewers glued to the screen.

The film was recently included in Screen Rants' "10 Classic Made for Television Horror Movies You've Never Seen Before (But Should)." The list compiles 10 of best classic horror TV-movies that people should see. Coming in at no.8, the movie is said to have "well-choreographed, daredevil stunts" and is "a menacing and exciting thriller." Aside from that, Shelley wasn't just gorgeous in this film, she gave a great performance as well.

Shelley appeared ads for many brands and stores. In 1975, she appeared in an ad for VISA fabrics which featured fashions by Alex Colman California - producers of quality sportswear, coordinates, and casual dress in the California-style. The company was famous for their printed outfits and casual-stye clothing. In the ad, Shelley wore a military green shirt over a pair of green flare-legged zipper pants. A textured fitted cardigan with a matching scarf completed her look. A white bangle and camel-colored footwear finished her look. Shelley looked casual, fabulous and ready to hit the town.
