Shelley flew from from being THE Charlie Girl to being a Charlie's Angel in 1979, when she was hired to fill-in the vacancy left by Kate Jackson on Charlie's Angels. She was sought after by everyone when she was cast, even before she filmed a scene for the series. Everyone wanted to know everything about Charlie's new Angel; and many things were written about her, true and not-so-true. But like they say, "publicity is publicity" and Shelley got a loin's share of it back in '79.
