Shelley joined the cast of Charlie's Angels in 1979 as Tiffany Welles, the brainy Angel from Boston. Her casting was big news that year, and everyone was excited to see THE Charlie Girl catching the bad guys for the Townsend Agency. US Weekly predicted that the series, with Shelley onboard, would be a hit. Her first few episodes actually ended up among the top ten shows the week they were aired. In fact, "Love Boat Angels" was Number 1 the week it was aired. It topped the Nielsen ratings.
