Writeups about Cheryl not wanting Shelley in the show because she's also blonde; and Jaclyn not wanting Shelley in because she was competition for the "classy Angel" title were being written. But the truth is Cheryl and Jaclyn had a say in the choice of the new Angel that year. Both felt comfortable and knew they could work with Shelley.
