Jaclyn Smith was the last of the original Charlie's Angels when Shelley joined the show in 1979. At the time, it was rumored that Jackie too, like Kate Jackson and Farrah Fawcett, wanted out and wanted to leave after season 4. It was written that she said, "If Shelley goes over well with viewers, there's no reason why I couldn't walk off the show. Then next year, a replacement for me would be found and viewers again would have the opportunity of seeing a new face." It was rumored that, like Kate, Jackie had been turning down roles due to her Angels schedule.
If Jackie did leave, Tanya, teamed up with Cheryl and Shelley, would still have made a great Angel. Gorgeous girl-next-door Kris Munroe, sophisticated intellectual Tiffany Welles and wild street-smart Julie Rogers would have made a fresh new Charlie's Angels team. They would have looked great together and would have meshed well together too. If it did happen, what would the opening have looked like? Something like this?
