Shelley appeared on many issues of what was known as the Seven Sisters group of magazines. The Seven Sisters magazines were Woman's Day, Redbook, McCall's, Ladies' Home Journal, Good Housekeeping, Family Circle and Better Homes and Gardens. They all catered to married women with children rather than single working women. The magazines featured homemaking and crafts, food and nutrition, health and fitness, beauty and fashion advice and articles. Shelley appeared in the October 1973 issue of Woman's Day magazine, in a spread called "Making the Most of Quality Classics." It featured classic wardrobe pieces that could be worn in a couple of different ways. Shelley wore a basic black pantsuit with a pink pin-dot satin shirt and a bias plaid Lurex-ed vest... all by Patti Cappalli for Addenda. She finished her look with a pair of black suede and patent leather heeled loafers with snaffle trim. A turquoise-and-silver necklace, a silver bracelet and a pinky ring accessorized her look.
