Shelley was THE fabulous Charlie Girl from 1976 to 1982. Her image catapulted both her and the brand to iconic status. Women wanted to be her, to be as independent and as fabulous as her - even the young Oprah Winfrey. Heck, even Shelley herself wanted to be her as she told Oprah in 2008 when she guested on the Daytime Queen's talk show.
