Shelley appeared in many spreads throughout Sears Catalog for Summer 1975. In the spread called "The Classic Knits of Summer", she modeled coordinates that were perfect for that summer. She wore the Jacket, Tank-Top and Pants ensemble. It was a three-piece outfit made up of a long sleeved, front-button-opening jacket, a scoop-necked pull-over style tank top and a pair of pants with an elasticized wait and slightly flared legs. The jacket and tank top featured a reverse-circle print in red, white and navy blue. The pants came in white. Matching open-toed wedge-heeled footwear and a summery-white bangle finished her look. Shelley looked fresh and ready for those summer months of 1975.

Shelley transitioned from model to actress in the 1970s; and by the 1980s, she was a regular fixture in Hollywood. In 1986, she was cast in her third TV series Jack and Mike, and she did talk shows and interviews to publicize her new endeavor. One of them was an interview regarding her vital statistics at the time. Included was her birthplace (White Plains, New York), marital status (single) and current homes (Los Angeles and New York). Also mentioned were some trivia about her like:

Angels Reboot

Another Charlie's Angels reboot is in the works and has been given, according to some sources, a June 2019 release date. Actress, director and producer Elizabeth Banks is at the helm, along with her husband Max Handelman. Let's hope they bring in some of the past Angels (from Charlie's Angels TOS, Angels '88, the two other Charlie's Angels movies and Charlie's Angels 2011) into this one.

Shelley became THE Charlie Girl in 1976. From then to 1982, she inspired a generation of women worldwide to be be bold and confident in pursuing their independence. She made women feel okay to be on their own and be happy about it - and, of course, be glam while doing it. Her Charlie Girl image is an icon in itself, remembered and loved all over the world.

Shelley appeared in commercials for Treetop fruit Juices in 1988. She endorsed TreeTop's products and said good things about them. The commercials she made were sort of very personal, because she was shown in a very casual setting and was casually dressed and was in a very casual mood as she talked to the people in front of their TVs. Her clean, fresh and open brand of beauty helped a lot, of course. After all, they were the very qualities that catapulted her to Supermodel status more than a decade prior.

She then later transitioned to a more a sophisticated and sexy image but with her clean All-American vibe intact, appearing in spreads for Vogue, Harper's Bazaar and the like.

When Shelley left Charlie's Angels, there were so many rumors swirling about regarding the circumstances of her departure and her fate in Hollywood after the leaving the series. So many things were said and written about her. One of them was that she was joining the cast of another hit TV series, Dallas, presumably as a female J.R. Ewing. Was she really offered a role? Did she turn it down? Well, nobody knows. It could have just been a rumor. But what if Shelley did join Dallas as a female version of J.R., what would have happened? Well, she'd be in the opening credits, that's for sure.

It was taken by her then boyfriend, photographer Steen Svensson. She wore makeup by Estee Lauder, and her hair was done by Malerie of Davian. She looked sensational.

Shelley's public appearances have been rare and sporadic, that's why fans are always ecstatic whenever she decides to go out to meet them. One of those rare occasions was the Hollywood Collectors Show in 2009. It was a 2-day affair held in Burbank, California, on July of that year. It was also where Shelley, for the time, met fellow Charlie's Angel Tanya Roberts, so the it was quite a historic event.

She wore the Nubby Knit, Fleecy Vest look. It was made up of a nubby crew-neck sweater by Daniel Hechter, a bulky dickey, a fleece vest by Loomtags and a fringed muffler - all over a pair of jeans by Fiorucci. A pair of gloves, a skullcap and a casual clutch finished her look. Shelley looked positively sensational for that fashion season.

Shelley was posed for stardom after she became a Supermodel in the 1970s. She had a cameo in the Academy Award winning film Annie Hall that everyone noticed, so she had her sights on Hollywood and was looking for the right break. Of course, as with all actresses, promo pics of her were taken displaying her most beautiful assets. And Shelley's were her long shapely legs.

Shelley appeared in many ads throughout her modeling career, one of them was for Sears pants in 1973. Dubbed as "Pants That Fit", they were pants that "just refuse to get baggy". They were "trim without being tight". They had "knees that stand up when you do". In fact, you could do anything in them, and they would still looked freshly pressed. They were the perfect pair of pants for the 1970s.

Shelley's public appearances have been rare and sporadic, that's why fans are always ecstatic whenever she decides to go out to meet them. One of those rare occasions was the Super Megashow and Comic Fest in 2010. It was a 3-day affair held in Fairfield, New Jersey, on July  9, 10 and 11 of that year. Shelley also made an appearance at a similar event just the year before, at the Hollywood Collectors Show in Burbank, California. Fans were so happy to go and meet Charlie's most reclusive Angel at both events. Sadly, those were the last public appearances that Shelley made. Let's hope she makes another one in the near future. Her fans miss her.

She wore the Mohair Tunic, a soft fluffy cowl-neck tunic that came up around the neck and down over the thighs. It could be worn over skinny pants and the newest thing back then - leg warmers. The off-white and grey striped mohair, wool and nylon sweater was by Franck Oliver. The knitted leg warmers were by Krizia.

She also wore the Knicker Set made up of a blouson top, knitted at the waistband and wrists, and a pair of matching knickers, cuffed at the knees so it could be tucked under boots. It was in red, green and camel clan paid; and was for only for the daring and fashion forward woman. The set was by Carol Horn's Habitat. Shelley looked sensational in both looks.

Shelley's third TV series, Jack and Mike, was aired from 1986-1987. She played journalist Jackie Shea who was married to restaurateur Mike Brennan (played by Tom Mason). The promo for the episode "Charity Ball" is currently on YouTube (Thank you so much to member berries for posting). In the episode, Jackie is puzzled by the odd behavior of a wealthy sorority sister, while Mike contemplates his own mortality after a contemporary dies of a heart attack. Let's hope the series finally makes it to DVD.

Shelley appeared on many spreads throughout Seventeen magazine's December 1970 issue. In the spread called "The Pretty Girl: Kittens to Angora", she modeled an outfit that was pretty enough to make any girl purr. She wore a vanilla- colored midi dress in, of course, angora that had ribbing at the bodice and cable knits running down to the hem of the dress. It was by No Comment. A crochet cap by Christa, a scarf by Gentex and stockings and shoes by Et Cetera finished her look. A jeweled necklace brought everything together. And Shelley looked pretty purrfect.

Shelley appeared in many spreads throughout Sears Catalog for Summer 1975. In the spread that featured summer tops and shorts, she modeled various tops and shorts ensembles. She wore a camisole-look top with elasticized smocking and shoulder straps over a pair of short-shorts in cotton denim. She also modeled a V-neck top over a pair of cuffed shorts. And she also modeled a ruffled halter-top over a pair of cuffed shorts. Shelley looked fresh and ready for those summer months of 1975.

1983 TV movie

for the 1983 TV movie Trackdown: Finding the Goodbar Killer

In 1983, Shelley appeared in her second TV movie Trackdown: Finding the Goodbar Killer. She played opposite George Segal's John Grafton, a police officer in charge of the investigation of the murder of her friend, a fellow school teacher. Her character was Logan Gay, a school teacher who eventually becomes Segal's love interest.

Shelley appeared in an ad for Shire-Tex by Davenshire in 1972. She modeled "the denimy look of dungarees, but neater" - a denim-looking pair of trousers in polyester double-knit which had a crease that was stitched down and a fittingly elasticized waist. A turtleneck top, matching footwear and a cute newsboy cap finished her look. Shelley looked fab in her dungarees.

"Race for Life"

Shelley's second foray into series TV was via Cutter to Houston in 1983. She starred as Dr. Beth Gilbert, an ambitious surgeon working in the small town of Cutter who wanted to do heart surgery in a big city hospital in Houston, Texas. Her costars were Jim Metzler as Dr. Andy Fenton, a GP who grew up in Cutter and was glad to be home; and Alec Baldwin as Dr. Hal Wexler, a ladies man internist on probation in Cutter for writing unnecessary prescriptions. The series had a short run, but was aired in Germany in 1988 as Die Texas-Klinik (The Texas Clinic) when Alec Baldwin was beginning to make a name for himself.

Shelley was THE quintessential Charlie Girl. She imbibed the ideal of the brand - gorgeous, sexy and young. All the print ads she did for the brand had her chicly striding in places all over the world. One ad featured her doing just that in London, England. Clad in chic casual duds by no other than Bill Blass, she was photographed striding past the South Bank Lion at the east end of Westminster Bridge with Big Ben in the background. Shelley was an inspiration.

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!!! It's the 30th anniversary of the release of the film The Stepfather. The film was released in June of 1987 and has since become a cult classic. Directed by Joseph Ruben, it starred Terry O'Quinn in the title role, as Jerry Blake, a man who had the knack of marrying into the "perfect" family and then killing the family off when he deems they're not perfect after all. Shelley Hack played Susan Maine, the woman who marries Jerry and is willing look past the cracks she's beginning to notice. Jill Schoelen played Stephanie, Susan's daughter by her first marriage. Stephanie doesn't like Jerry, finds him creepy and is determined to find out who he really is. The story was penned by Carolyn Lefcourt, Brian Garfield andDonald E. Westlake, who got screenplay credit.

The Stepfather has been released in DVD

The film spawned two sequels Stepfather II in 1989 and Stepfather III in 1992. They had different directors and weren't as good. It also spawned a remake in 2009 which received mixed reviews. The original movie however is a great watch and is currently available on DVD - which also contains a featurette on the making of the film. If you can get it, watch it.

Cloaked in Charisma

Shelley appeared on many spreads throughout Seventeen magazine's December 1970 issue. In the spread called "The New Heroine: Cloaked in Charisma", she modeled a romantic medieval-inspired cape that was perfect for the cold months ahead. She wore the "Collarful Cape", a collared Gothic brown ankle-length cape which was kept in place with a string - by Larry Levine. A pair of matching boots and a Geretek scarf around her head finished her look. Shelley looked like a romantic heroine in her Gothic-inspired ensemble.
