Up until the early 1980s, fur was considered one of the luxury items and were staples in well-dressed women's wardrobes - and mink coats were highly prized. EMBA was a marketing association formed by mink farmers and often advertised in fashion magazines in cooperation with various designers and manufacturers of mink coats and mink stoles.
