Shelley was THE quintessential Charlie Girl and appeared in many, many ads for the brand. In 1977, she appeared in a newspaper ad for Charlie called "Charlie's Best Bets." It was a promo that offered a Charlie's Best Bet beauty aids collection for only $5 for every $5 or more purchase of any Charlie or Chaz product. The collection included a moisturizer, makeup, eye color and, of course, Charlie perfume - all in a convenient purse size package.
