In the 1990s, Shelley was often seen and captured by the paparazzi attending events around Hollywood. In January of 1997, Shelley was was photographed at the Mann's Chinese Theatre in Hollywood, California, attending the premiere of the feature film Turbulence. The inflight crime thriller starred Ray Liotta and Lauren Holly. Aside from the cast (led by Liotta and Holly), also in attendance were Cary Elwes, Rider Strong, Rachael Leigh Cook, and Jim Carrey, who was married to Holly at the time.
