Yardley or Yardley of London is one of the oldest international companies that specializes in cosmetics, toiletries and fragrances. The British brand was founded in 1770 and produced mainly soaps and perfumes. It branched out to cosmetics in the second half of the 20th century, but the line was discontinued by around the 1980s. In the 1970s, Yardley released a line of beauty products that were targeted at teenage girls and young women. The Yardley Mixis Fingermix Eyeshadows kit was one of them. It was an eyeshadow kit for young women who wanted to create their very own, their personal eyeshadow colors. The kit contained five tubes of color for finger-mixing into anyone's preferred colors. It contained three tubes of the primary colors blue, red and yellow. It also contained two tubes of white for modifying/mixing into the created colors - pearl white and matte white. It also contained a spatula and a mixing dish for convenience. All of them were housed in a colorful and youthful cosmetics box. And Shelley showed how Yardley could make anyone look fabulous.
