In 1987, many publications (including People, above) reported that Shelley and her co-star Tom Mason were having problems. Neither of the two have confirmed or denied this. Nevertheless, it is safe to assume that both wanted the best for their show. And besides, it never showed on screen (which tells us much about the acting prowess of both.) The show has been compared by critics to The Thin Man (1934) "series" with William Powell and Myrna Loy. Jack and Mike are like Nick and Nora, delightful to watch.Saturday, March 5, 2011
