Shelley appeared in many spreads throughout Seventeen magazine's November 1965 issue. In the spread called "Head for the Hills", she modeled fashions that were perfect for the ski slopes in winter. Parkas, sweaters, fitted stretch pants, mittens and boots were the order of the day. And of course they all had to be chic, 1965 chic.

Shelley modeled a parka playing possum - that's a parka made from the finest fake fur. She wore a black and white Eskimo parka of silky stenciled faux rabbit fur trimmed with faux fox that had red details around the hips and under the wrists - by Evans Fur. Matching white pants and black Sig Buchmayr mittens finished her look. And Shelley looked like one sophisticated skier.

A Switch to Stage

Shelley immediately took on stage-acting right after her stint in Charlie's Angels. Without batting an eyelash and without any prior experience, she took on the challenge and gave it her best. She accepted the role of Mary in the Jack Heifner play Vanities which was about three high school cheerleaders in three different stages of their lives and friendship. Meredith Baxter-Birney and Annette O'Toole co-starred. The play was filmed and aired as part of the HBO series Standing Room Only. And her gamble paid off big time. Shelley received glowing reviews from critics and her detractors alike.

The Glamour of Gold 4

Shelley appeared in many issues of Vogue during her tenure as a Supermodel. In the mags October 1874 issue, she appeared on the spread called "The Glamour of Gold" where she modeled simple seasonless evening wear in black with touches of gold.

In the spread, she also modeled undergarments that were perfect to wear under those chic black evening togs. She wore a satin bra and bikini set by Van Raalte, a lacy body-hugging slip by Gossard Artemis, a satiny black body stocking with touches of lace on top by Sensuale by Bali and a lace halter bra and lace bikini set by Formfit Rogers. Shelley was never sexier.

Shelley also wore the bra everyone was looking for - a lightweight and comfortable strapless bra, in black of course. The bra and shorts set with thin lace edges was smooth and stretchy and perfect for those strapless evening gowns. It was by Vassarette, and the necklace she wore was by Marguerite Stix at Cartier. Shelley was sensational.

in the 1984 telemovie Single Bars, Single Women

In 1984, Shelley starred in the telemovie Single Bars, Single Women. Among the many stars who appeared in the film, Tony Danza was one who had scenes with Shelley. Shelley played Frankie, a truck stop waitress looking for a good time and maybe love in singles bars after her breakup with boyfriend Gabe. Tony Danza played Dennis, a construction worker who frequented singles bars and was interested in Frankie. The two had two scenes together and had good chemistry. Maybe they should have done more projects together.

Pandora Fashion

Shelley was a much sought-after model during her modeling days. She appeared in many print ads, including ads for Pandora. The Pandora Sweater company was founded in 1936. By the 1970s, it was an established clothing company catering to young misses. In one 1972 ad, Shelley wore Pandora's action shirt with pre-patched elbows over their striped shirts. Black leggings and sneaks, colorful knee socks, a pageboy cap and a neckband finished her look. Shelley looked ready for those field sports.

The Rumors and Gossip

Shelley's Charlie's Angels debut episode

As soon as Shelley joined the cast of Charlies Angels in 1979, everything about her became fair game. Rumors and gossip about her bean to circulate - that she wasn't getting along with her Angels co-stars Jaclyn Smith and Cheryl Ladd, that she and boyfriend director Nicholas Meyer broke up when she became an Angel, and so on and so forth. One of them was that she was dating "Love Boat Angels"(Shelley's Charlie's Angels debut episode) guest star Bo Hopkins. There was no truth in that as it turns out.

Saks Fifth Avenue Signs of Spring and Summer 1973

Shelley appeared in many catalogs throughout her modeling career. One of them was the Saks Fifth Avenue catalog Folio Collections. Saks Fifth Avenue is a high-end department store located in Manhattan, New York City, that sells luxury goods. In the Folio Collections: Saks Fifth Avenue Signs of Spring and Summer 1973 catalog, she appeared in the spread called "You'll Find Adventure Around Water". She modeled splash makers in their Swim Collections. She wore an mini dress T-shirt that was great to put over a swimsuit and for lounging around the beach. The scoop-necked dress had bright multi-hued stripes of red, navy, yellow and orange. A straw hat and matching bangle finished her look. And Shelley looked sensational for that summer season.
