Shelley at a 2019 Event

Shelley in Beverly Hills, California, 2019

Shelley attended the annual summer Hallmark Television Critics Association dinner this July, 2019. The bi-annual event was held in Beverly Hills and also had Bo Derek, Susan Lucci, Al Roker and Holly Robinson Peete (to name a few) in attendance. Also in attendance was director Ron Oliver, who first met Shelley at the same event (at the 2011 winter TCA). Ron Oliver directed one of the Hallmark movies Shelley produced - 2015's Perfect Match. The two have been bumping into each other yearly at the said event. In fact, Mr. Oliver has been putting up their pics on his blog and Instagram account ever since their first meeting. Let's hope he puts up more pics of him and Shelley, from the past and in the coming years. Thank you very much, Mr. Ron Oliver!!! We love all the pics!!!

MOD Lashes 16

Shelley modeling MOD Lashes no. 16, 1974

Shelley appeared in an ad for MOD Lashes in 1974. She modeled "Real Hair Lashes...Realistically Priced - to bring out the Real You". She modeled different kinds of lashes for different kinds of women, for different kinds of lifestyles and different moods. All any woman had to do was "eye-dentify' the lifestyle or mood she was in; and MOD Lashes would recommend the corresponding lash style. Career, Home-Loving, Outdoors and Child-At-Heart - style numbers 11, 16, 26 and 31 - were all modeled by Shelley. And Shelley captured every lifestyle and mood to a T.

Coming This October

Charlie's Angels will be released on Blu-ray this October

Charlie's Angels was one of the most phenomenally successful shows to ever come to the small screen. It's popularity and success can only be likened to other TV greats such as E.R., American Idol and more recently, Game of Thrones. This groundbreaking, Marvel-Studios-Avengers-big TV series was the very first female buddy-buddy show to hit the small screen. It also presented women as not just the fairer sex, but as strong and independent as well. The series ran for five seasons and went though six Angels all in all. The only male leads in the series were John Bosley, played by David Doyle, and Charles "Charlie" Townsend, whose face was never shown and was voiced by John Forsythe. David Ogden Stiers appeared in the pilot movie as liaison officer Scott Woodville - a sort of back up for the girls if they needed saving. When the show was picked up as a weekly series, the Woodville character was dropped as it was deemed that the girls were capable enough to save themselves. How's that for Girl Power?

Charlie's Angels The Complete Series on Blu-ray this October

Charlie's Angels The Complete Series was first released in DVD format in 2012 by Sony. In 2016, it was re-released by Mill Creek, again in DVD format. This October 2019, Mill Creek will finally release the series in Blu-ray format. Fans will finally get to watch all the Angels (Kate Jackson as the smart no-nonsense Sabrina Duncan, Farrah Fawcett as the sporty California girl Jill Munroe, Jaclyn Smith as the sultry and mysterious Kelly Garrett, Cheryl Ladd as the cute and sexy girl-next-door Kris Munroe, Shelley Hack as the classy intellectual Tiffany Welles and Tanya Roberts as the street-smart tigress Julie Rogers) in the highest quality video and audio format to date. Can't wait.

THE Charlie Girl 3

Shelley in a promo pic for Charlie by Revlon, 1978

Shelley's first taste of international fame was as THE Charlie Girl in those Charlie Perfume ads. Her turn as the brand's spokes-model was such a worldwide success that, in 1978, a contest was held in several countries called The World Belongs to Charlie. In the UK, she appeared in the ad/entry form for the contest. By 1978, she had roamed the world as Charlie's ultimate brand ambassador had become a household name. Shelley's face and long-legged stride were synonymous to the brand.

Shelley As Linda

Shelley guest-starred in the short-lived series Married: The First Year in 1979. She appeared in the third episode called "Full House," as speech therapist Linda, the ex-girlfriend of newlywed Billy. It was Shelley's first guest-starring role. Married: The First Year lasted a total of 4 episodes and, so far, only the opening credits and one episode preview (Shelley's) can be found online. Let's hope it is released on DVD soon or is posted on YouTube, so we can watch one of Shelley's earliest acting performances.

Shelley appeared on the pages of Montgomery Ward Fall & Winter 1975 catalog. In the spread called "Super Values in Multi-Part Ensembles," she modeled smart separates that could be worn mixed and matched. The straight-legged pants came in a solid color and a diagonal plaid printed version. The dickey was in a white button-front shirt design.Shelley modeled all the pieces and looked fab in them.
