When Shelley joined the cast Charlie's Angels in 1979, she was on her way to becoming Hollywood's next biggest star. All the women who became leads in the show had become huge stars so far, especially blondes Farrah Fawcett and Cheryl Ladd; so Shelley's rise was inevitable. Her casting garnered so much publicity for the show and everyone was excited to see the glamorous Supermodel running around in heels, fighting crime.
