The Dickie

Shelley appeared in the booklet Wrights Idea Book of Trims in 1972. In one spread, she modeled a couple of dickies. According to the booklet, "A dickie is a 'fake' blouse. It looks like a blouse or a shirt but is only part of one. It has a narrower and shorter front and back with a completely finished neck. It is worn under a sweater, knit top or under a jacket."

She modeled a Mandarin-collared dickie with a sporty red woven band running around the collar and ending in a bow. She wore a black sweater over it. She also modeled a rich and heavily embroidered round neck dickie that was perfect to wear with so many things. In the pic, she wore it under a sunny yellow blazer jacket. In both combinations, Shelley looked fab.
