Shelley had great triumphs and great setbacks during her years as an actress. She got her big break when she joined the cast of Charlie's Angels in 1979. She got great reviews for her stage work in Vanities, Born Yesterday and Close Ties. She also got great reviews for her work in the films The King of Comedy and The Stepfather. But then she also got a lot of negative criticism for other her television and film work. But Shelley just took the blows, learned the lessons, picked herself up and went to the next adventure. She looks fragile but she's fiercely strong. What a lady.
