Shelley had a new TV series, Cutter to Houston, and was out to prove that she was more than just a pretty face. She got great reviews for her work in the stage play Vanities and the feature film The King of Comedy; and she was ready to show that she had acting chops to accompany her looks. Unfortunately, her series was canceled before it could find audience.
