a closeup of Shelley from a Seventeen mag spread, November 1964
Shelley began modeling in late 1964. She appeared on the cover and pages of Glamour magazine November that year. That same month, she appeared on the cover of Seventeen magazine (with teen Supermodel Colleen Corby). Inside, she appeared in her first ever spread for Seventeen. It featured fashions for frolicking in the snow. In the one called "Fabulous Ski-Pro Looks", she modeled a black and white look made up of a turtle-topped parka of leather-look cotton over a pair of worsted and Dupont nylon ski pants, both by Valor. On her head, a helmet/headgear by Glad Hatter. Riviera sunglasses, P & M gloves and Sandler of Boston finished her look. And Shelley looked sensational.
