Shelley was THE quintessential Charlie Girl from 1976 to 1982. In 1980, she appeared in a Charlie perfume ad promoting the 1980 Winter Olympics which was held in Lake Placid, New York, from Feb 13 to 24 of that year. The Revlon Charlie fragrance was an official selection of the United States Olympic Committee. A commercial was made (Charlie and the 1980 Olympics) to commemorate the event, as well as a promotional kit (Shelley and Tom 4). And Shelley was sensational in all of them.
