Recently, former Charlie's Angel Shelley Hack was interviewed by Steve Gidlow at MediaVillage regarding her newfound career as producer - particularly for the Hallmark Channel. After spending years "as a consultant in post-conflict countries doing media stuff" through her company SHMC (Shelley Hack Media Consultancy), she went back to LA; and, together with her producer/director husband Harry Winer, formed Smash Media, a production company that develops media content. So far, their company has produced five original movies for Hallmark; and it seems Shelley enjoys being behind the camera more than being in front of it. When suggested if she would return to acting, she said, "I feel I've done it. This is what interests me right now and it's really fun and fulfilling. It's really like I landed in heaven." Let's hope she changes her mind.

Shelley has had a great relationship with the Hallmark Channel since 2011. The first movie she produced for them was Lucky Christmas which starred Elizabeth Berkley and released in 2011. The second was the 2015 movie A Perfect Wedding with Danica McKellar. The year after, it was Summer of Dreams with Debbie Gibson.
