Shelley became a superstar in 1979 and became known all over the world as Charlie's brainiest and classiest Angel. Photos of her were splashed all over newspapers and magazines throughout the world. In Japan, images of her regularly appeared in the fan mag Roadshow. In the spread called "Summer Prot '80" from the mag's issue no. 8 for 1980, she appeared alongside Ali McGraw, Barbara Carrera Margot Kidder and Linda Blair donning a one-piece swimsuit and doing the backstroke. She looked like she was having so much fun.
