Shelley's third foray into series TV was Jack and Mike. It was about a married yuppie couple living in Chicago, trying to find time for each other in their busy schedules. Shelley played Jackie Shea, a star columnist at The Mirror, a widely-circulated Chicago paper. Her column was awaited by everyone every week. Her husband was Mike Brennan (played by Tom Mason), a successful restaurateur. The other cast members were: Nora Adler (Jacqueline Brookes), Jackie’s editor; Anthony Kubecek (Kevin Dunn), Jackie's assistant; Carol (Holly Fulger), the head waitress at Mike's restaurant, Brennan's Grill; and Rick Scotti (Vincent Baggetta), an attorney who appears occasionally. The series, created by Sara Davidson, was filmed on location in Chicago, Illinois.

Mike is at one of his restaurants and is giving instructions to the restaurant's head waitress Carol when Jackie arrives. Mike, concerned about Jackie's delicate state, tells her to sit down. As Jackie asks Mike to keep her state between them first, Carol passes by and congratulates the two of them. Jackie is speechless. Back home, the couple discuss how they will go about Jackie's pregnancy. Mike wants her to take it easy. Jackie wants them to go on with their lives and just deal with it when her pregnancy becomes more apparent. She gets a call from Matthew Pearson and goes out to meet him against Mike's wishes.

Shelley appeared on many magazines throughout her modeling career. In 1975, she appeared on the pages of Lady's Circle magazine, in the spread called "Sew For Spring with Thrifty Lady's Circle Patterns." It said, "Your sewing machine can bring you close to the impossible dream of fashion for a farthing. She models a couple of of L.C. patterns. One of them was pattern no. 9344. It was a 3-piece halter pajama suit with a short tie jacket. It was the perfect outfit for any summer evening, from the club dance to a patio party. Shelley looked sensational.

Love Boat Angels

Shelley became a Charlie's Angel in 1979 and her first episode "Love Boat Angels" was filmed in the US Virgin Islands. When she arrived there, she was greeted by the paparazzi; and she was shocked. She thought they were there for Sophia Loren and was totally surprised to find out they were there for her. She wasn't aware of how big a superstar she had become upon the announcement of her Angel-dom.

Shelley appeared in many catalogs throughout her modeling career. One of them was JCPenney. She appeared in many issues of the department store's catalog from the '60s (when it was still called Penney's) until the '70s. She appeared in many spreads on the JCPenney Fall and Winter 1972 catalog.

In the spread called "Outstanding At-Home Wear," she modeled the a hostess gown. The long gown had pull-over styling, a scooped neck, short puffed elasticized sleeves, a high waist with a drawstring and a self-ruffle at the hem. And Shelley looked sensational in it.

The Streaker

Shelley appeared on many ads during her Supermodel tenure. One of them was for Ms. Lee. The Lee Company, a popular American denim jeans brand, came up with a label catering to women. The label catered to the women’s market and was a tribute to women. Ms. Lee was tailor-made for women, in fit and in style. In 1975, Shelley appeared in a Ms. Lee ad that featured "The Streaker." She wore Ms. Lee's striking quilt shirt over a pair of jeans with inside-out denim stripes from hip to cuff and flared legs. A matching jacket went over her fun shirt. A complementing belt, a matching scarf and high-heeled wedge footwear finished her look. A painter's cap, silver earrings and and a sliver bracelet accessorized her look. Shelley looked absolutely gorgeous.

The Other Star-Maker

Shelley was hand-picked by producers Aaron Spelling and Leonard Goldberg in 1979 to become Charlie's newest Angel; and she became Tinseltown's latest superstar. Spelling-Goldberg Productions was one of the most successful production teams in the 1970s and 1980s and was responsible for TV mega-hit series such as The Rookies, S.W.A.T., Starsky & Hutch, Charlie's Angels, Family, Fantasy Island, Hart to Hart and T. J. Hooker, as well as numerous TV movies such as The Boy in the Plastic Bubble, Death at Love House, Murder on Flight 502, Death Cruise, The Girl Who Came Gift Wrapped, Satan's School for Girls and The Great American Beauty Contest. Their productions created mega stars out of Farrah Fawcett, Kate Jackson Jaclyn Smith, Cheryl Ladd, Shelley Hack, Tanya Roberts, Robert Urich, David Soul, Paul Micheal Glaser, Meredith Baxter, Kristy McNichol, Adrian Zmed and Heather Locklear, to name a few.

Leonard Goldberg also produced unforgettable hits such as Paper Dolls, War Games (which made Matthew Broderick a star), Space Camp (which was directed by Shelley's future husband Harry Winer), the Julia Roberts starrer Sleeping with the Enemy, Double Jeopardy which starred Tommy Lee Jones and Ashley Judd, as well as all the iterations of Charlie's Angels since the original series' demise. Like Aaron Spelling, the late Len Goldberg, who passed away Last Dec 4, was a star-maker too, and he will be always be remembered with fondness as the producer of the legendary 1970s series Charlie's Angels.

Shelley was one of the most visible Supermodels in the 1970s. She appeared on many covers of many major magazines. In 1972, Shelley appeared on the cover of the March 17 issue of Brigitte Mit Constanze, a German women's magazine which featured fashions, home styles and health.
