Shelley played school teacher Logan Gay (a teacher of handicapped children) in the 1983 TV movie Trackdown: Finding the Goodbar Killer. The movie was based on fact. It's about the investigation on the brutal murder of a young school teacher during the Christmas season in New York in the '70s. Logan was the co-teacher and close friend of the victim. John Grafton, played by George Segal, was the detective who solved the case. Watch the intro on:

Shelley appeared on many magazines throughout her modeling career. In 1975, she appeared on the pages of Lady's Circle magazine, in the spread called "Sew For Spring with Thrifty Lady's Circle Patterns." It said, "Your sewing machine can bring you close to the impossible dream of fashion for a farthing. She models a couple of of L.C. patterns. One of them was pattern no. 9344. It was a 3-piece halter pajama suit with a short tie jacket. It was the perfect outfit for any summer evening, from the club dance to a patio party. Shelley looked sensational.

Shelley became Charlie's Angel no.5 in 1979. She was already a Supermodel when she joined the cast, one of the highest paid models in the entire world. She was known as THE Charlie Girl and was the image model and spokesperson for the no. 1 Revlon brand. She knew that when she joined Angels she would be doing a lot of press and promotional stints for the series; and she was ready for it. She had done a lot of them as THE Charlie Girl. But what what happened was beyond her expectations. Upon the announcement of her joining the show, she was hounded by the press. "I was totally unprepared for the press 'bonanza' that followed," she said in 2000.  "I had press people crawling in my windows," she told E! in 2002.

Shelley appeared in many catalogs throughout her modeling career. One of them was JCPenney. She appeared in many issues of the department store's catalog from the '60s (when it was still called Penney's) until the '70s. She appeared in many spreads on the JCPenney Fall and Winter 1972 catalog.

She appeared in the spread called "Individualists Wear Penney's Young Look Sleepwear" where she modeled hip sleepwear for misses. She wore the Long Peasant-Style Gown, a scoop-neck pull-on-style sleeping gown with raglan sleeves. It had an elasticized neck, cuffs and back and self-ruffled hem. Rickrack trim was applied to it for an apron effect. Shelley looked lovely and ready for bed.

Shelley appeared on many ads during her Supermodel tenure. One of them was for Ms. Lee. The Lee Company, a popular American denim jeans brand, came up with a label catering to women. The label catered to the women’s market and was a tribute to women. Ms. Lee was tailor-made for women, in fit and in style. In 1975, Shelley appeared in a Ms. Lee ad that featured "Join the Fiesta." She wore Ms. Lee's cucumber green, strawberry, squash and blueberry colored shirt over a pair of squash-colored jeans. Topping that was her jeans' matching jacket with shiny snaps. Heeled sandals and a casual fisherman's hat finished her look. A pair earrings and a choker accessorized her look. Shelley looked absolutely gorgeous.
