Shelley slowly but surely made sure she always moved forward in her career as an actress. After her big break as one of Charlie's Angels, she immediately did plays, films and TV projects to further hone her acting chops. Eventually, she earned critical praise; but it was in 1987 that she scored a hit with the film feature The Stepfather. It came hand-in-hand with her third foray into series TV Jack and Mike, which was slowly gaining a bigger audience when it was suddenly canceled.
