Shelley in a spread for Seventeen mag, Nov 1970
Shelley appeared on the cover as well as on the pages of Seventeen mag's November 1970 issue. In the spread called "Christmas Crafts", she modeled some stuff from the mag's "big mixed bag of gifted goodies to make for you and yours" - handmade things that could be given out as gifts. She modeled a Switcheroo Skoncho, a poncho that could be worn as a skirt or as a cape. It came with a Cap-anion which readers could knit as well. A jumpsuit by Alberoy, chokers by House of Joy and Eye Plus, boots by Latinas finished her look. She also modeled an outfit enhanced by pre-cut put-ons - "homespun cutouts blazed with preplanted, embroidered flowerings" - that could be sewn on boleros, belts and suspenders. A matching snood could be made for it too. A unique tie and a shirt and skirt by Shapely Classics finished her look. Shelley looked fab in her handmade duds.
