Happy 30th Anniversary to the TV series Jack and Mike
Shelley's third TV series was Jack and Mike, which debuted on September 16, 1986. The series was about a married couple (yuppies) trying to find time for each other amidst their busy work schedules. Shelley starred as Jackie Shea, a journalist at the Chicago Mirror; while Tom Mason played Mike Brennan, her restaurateur husband was about to open his third restaurant in Chicago, the series' setting. It received mixed reviews; but its detractors admitted Shelley and Tom were very good in the show, with one saying that with good TV vehicles, Shelley and Tom could shine. The show was scheduled right after Moonlighting and gained a respectable following, but was cancelled after one season. Let's hope it's resealed on DVD soon. Shelley admitted that she loved doing Jack and Mike. So to Shelley and Tom, HAPPY 30th ANNIVERSARY.
