The 50th anniversary of Charlie's Angels is coming up this March 21, 2026. The pilot was aired on March 21, 1976; and it premiered as a TV series on September 22, 1976. It ran for five seasons and made superstars out of all its gorgeous Angels. PaleyFest LA 2026 has included the Charlie's Angels 50th Anniversary Reunion among its featured highlights. Founded in 1984, PaleyFest LA is an annual festival for television hosted by The Paley Center for Media in Los Angeles; and it features screenings specially chosen for the festival, followed by exclusive, behind-the-scenes panels with cast and creators. The pop-culture event brings together television fans with the stars and the creators of their favorite TV shows. PaleyFest LA 2026 will run from April 4 to 12 at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood. The Charlie's Angels 50th Anniversary Reunion will be held on April 6 with Kate Jackson, Jaclyn Smith, and Cheryl Ladd in attendance.

Last February 10, Closer reported that Jaclyn Smith and Cheryl Ladd had to talk Kate Jackson into joining them at PaleyFest LA 2026. With that in mind, wouldn't it be an even bigger blast if Shelley Hack (the only other living Angel from the original series) joined Kate, Jaclyn and Cheryl as well? Wouldn't it be a phenomenal event if Charlie's four living Angels were all on stage, facing their fans, answering all their questions? Wouldn't that be one unforgettable (and a definitely historically significant) Angel event for all the Charlie's Angels fans around the world? Wouldn't that be just heavenly? Jaclyn Smith and Cheryl Ladd, could you also talk Shelley into joining you three for this historic reunion? Please? Angel reunions throughout the years

Charlie's Angels reunions have been few and far between, but they have happened. Since the demise of the TV series, fans have been eager to see and know what the Angels have been up to and how they've been doing. Kate Jackson, Farrah Fawcett, Jaclyn Smith, Cheryl Ladd, Shelley Hack, and Tanya Roberts have been the subjects of endless fascination by both the media and their many fans around the world. The women may have reunited privately on their own; but some of the more public reunions are the fallowing:

In April of 2010, Jaclyn and Cheryl attended the 8th Annual TV Land Awards held at Sony Pictures Studios in Culver City, California. They went on stage to receive the Pop Culture Award for Charlie's Angels. (The event also paid tribute to the late Farrah Fawcett.)

In February of 2011, Jaclyn and Cheryl attended the American Association of Retired Persons (AARP) Movies For Grown-Ups Awards gala held at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel in Los Angeles.

In 2012, Jaclyn and Cheryl were interviewed on Entertainment Tonight where they talked about about the behind-the-scenes, the impact, and the legacy of Charlie's Angels.

In October of 2012, Jaclyn and Cheryl were guests on the daytime talk show The Talk where they shared their experiences and behind-the-scenes stories about Charlie's Angels... as well as the impact and legacy of the series.

In 2013, Cheryl and Tanya were spotted among the audience at the filming of a Dancing with the Stars episode. Both were huge fans of the show.

Angel reunions throughout the years

In January of 2014, Jaclyn and Cheryl were spotted having lunch at The Ivy in Los Angeles.

In 2015, Jaclyn and Cheryl were spotted out and about in LA, catching up.

In August of 2015, Jaclyn and Cheryl were together at the wedding of Jaclyn's daughter Spencer Margaret held in Montecito, Santa Barbara.

In 2019, Jaclyn and Cheryl were again spotted out and about in LA, catching up.

In July of 2023, Kate and Jaclyn were together at the wedding of Jaclyn's son Gaston which was held at Jaclyn's Holmby Hills mansion in Los Angeles.

Shelley's second TV series was Cutter to Houston. It was about three young doctors with markedly different backgrounds and motives. Shelley, Jim Metzler and Alec Baldwin starred as three young doctors who ran a small hospital in the fictitious Texas small town called Cutter, 60 miles from Houston. Many publicity pics were taken help to promote the series prior to its initial run. One of the publicity pics was used on the cover of the 1994 Hungarian-language novel A Sebészasszony (The Surgeon's Wife) by Alain Thiéry. Alain Thiéry is a French author known for his medical novels which were translated to other languages including Hungarian.

A Sebészasszony (The Surgeon's Wife)

In 1994, one of Alain Thiéry's medical novels was translated to Hungarian as A Sebészasszony (The Surgeon's Wife). It was about Ann Jessup, a talented orthopedic surgeon at a Boston hospital. The novel was released in both hardcover and paperback versions. In the hardcover version, the front cover read as:

Shelley appeared on many spreads for many magazines from the late '60s to the mid-'70s. In November of 1972, she appeared on the pages of Needles & Thread, a magazine that featured patterns for knitting, crochet, and general needlecraft projects. Shelley appeared in the spread called "Young Contemporary Fashion" which featured Simplicity pattern 5132, patterns for a dress that could be made in two lengths and an unlined jacket. The dress (Shelley wore the short version) was a skirt stitched to a contrasting bodice and could be worn with an optional purchased belt. The top of which had a back zipper and a high round neckline. The unlined jacket had top-stitching, front button closing, a collar, patch pockets and long set-in sleeves. Shelley accessorized her dress and jacket ensemble with a fun brooch, a contrasting belt and chain strap shoulder bag. And Shelley looked young, fresh, and ready for the cold months ahead.

Found Money, 1983

Shelley appeared alongside comedy legends Dick Van Dyke and Sid Caesar in the 1983 TV movie Found Money. The movie was about computer expert Max Shepherd and security guard Sam Green, two former employees of First National Bank who have been let go with little to no benefits after decades of employment. Max uses his computer skills to create an account in the bank using the money from inactive accounts that are automatically transferred to the state when not claimed after five years. Using the name Seymour Good, head of The Invisible Friend Inc., he transfers the money to accounts of ordinary citizens who bring kindness to the world. After some convincing, Sam joins Max in his quest. As good Samaritans begin receiving the money, the story is picked up by the press and is covered by reporter Leslie Phillips (Shelley Hack) who becomes Max's love interest.

Shelley found both Dick Van Dyke and Sid Caesar "very generous to work with" but had to keep up with the their pace. "You had to work so fast, because everything was left loose," she told TV Guide. "I felt like I kind of jumped on a moving train," she added. As for Shelley's performance in Found Money, Television writer Fred Rothenberg said "Miss Hack's acting has improved since she played one of Charlie's Angels." Shelley said of the TV movie, "It's a whole type of distinctly American comedy, the closest to theater on film I'd ever gotten." Prior to Found Money, Shelley had starred in several stage plays in the early 1980s and had received excellent reviews for her performances. She was also cast in the Martin Scorsese film The King of Comedy where she held her own in scenes opposite acting giant Robert De Niro; she got excellent reviews for her performance in the film as well. Shelley had come a very long way indeed.

Shelley was THE quintessential Charlie Girl and appeared on many, many ads for the brand. In 1977, she appeared in a newspaper ad for Charlie that promoted Charlie's "Good Skin Recipes." It was a promotional package set available for only $5.50 with any $5.00 purchase from the Charlie or Chaz collection. Included in the Normal-to-Oily Skin package set were the Charlie Superior Cleansing Bar, the Charlie Skin Balancing Tonic and the Charlie More Moisture Moisturizer. Included in the Normal-to-Dry Skin package set were the Charlie Superior Cleansing Lotion, the Charlie Skin Conditioning Tonic and the Charlie More Moisture Moisturizer. Included in both sets were the Charlie Concentrated Perfume Spray and the Charlie Recipe Box. And, as always, Shelley appeared in the ad, Charlie Girl gorgeous as always.

Hone Her Craft

Shelley was a busy actress in the 1980s. After opting to leave Charlie's Angels in 1980, she went full-time into an acting career. She appeared on stage, TV and in the movies. She immediately tackled stage after Angels via the Jack Heifner play Vanities and gained critical praise for her work. Other stage plays soon came after (Elizabeth Diggs's play Close Ties, Garson Kanin’s Born Yesterday and John Krizanc's Tamara at the end of the decade) and she got critical praise for them as well. She starred in the feature films Martin Scorsese's The King of Comedy and Joseph Ruben's The Stepfather and got glowing reviews. In the series Cutter to Houston and Jack and Mike, she got mixed reviews but was generally praised for efforts. Shelley was determined to hone her craft.

The Prettiest Fashions

Shelley appeared in many ads during her tenure as a Supermodel in the 1970s. In 1972, she appeared in an ad for the Simplicity Pattern Company, a leading manufacturer of sewing patterns and sewing pattern guides which are distributed throughout the world. They have been manufacturing sewing patterns since 1927 and have allowed fashionistas on a budget and sewing aficionados to create clothes in a reliable manner. The 1972 ad proclaimed that "Now, the prettiest fashions to crochet are also the easiest" and Shelley's image on the package cover of Simplicity pattern 9700 appeared in the ad. Simplicity pattern 9700 contained crochet instructions for making a vest, a pair of hotpants and a skullcap. And Shelley modeled a purple version of the crochet patterns (with pink and green details) and wore them over a white turtleneck top and shorts. Of course, Shelley looked pretty fabulous in all of the pieces.

In October of 1985, Kate and Jaclyn attended the "Man of the Year" Award and Gala Salute to Aaron Spelling held at at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills.

In November of 1989, Kate and Jaclyn attended The Women in Show Business' (WISB) 29th Anniversary Celebrity Ball held at the the Regent Beverly Wilshire Hotel. Jaclyn was one of the honorees at the event.

In March of 1992, Kate, Jaclyn, and Cheryl appeared on stage at the 18th Annual People's Choice Awards to hand over to Aaron Spelling a special tribute to celebrate his career. (bonus: John Forsythe - the voice of Charles Townsend - introduced the three Angels.)

In the March 7-14, 1994 issue of People, the 20-year anniversary issue of the weekly magazine, Kate, Farrah, and Jaclyn were featured in a special spread. They were photographed together and interviewed. The magazine's fold-out poster was of the three Angels as well.

In September of 1997, Kate and Jaclyn were spotted outside Spago bistro/restaurant in Beverly Hills.

Angel reunions throughout the years

In March of 1998, Kate, Farrah, and Jaclyn appeared at the All Star Party for Aaron Spelling in a pre-recorded tribute to Spelling. They thanked him for launching their careers and reminisced about the fun they had doing Charlie's Angels.

In May of 2004, Kate and Tanya finally met and posed for pictures with their fans at the Motor City Comic Con fan convention held at the Novi Expo Center in Novi, Michigan.

In August of 2006, Jaclyn and Cheryl were spotted out and about in LA, catching up.

In August of 2006, Kate, Farrah, and Jaclyn appeared on stage at the 58th Primetime Emmy Awards to memorialize the late Aaron Spelling, their mentor and friend. Spelling's favorite production had always been Charlie's Angels.

In July of 2008, Kate Appeared in Jaclyn's reality TV series Shear Genius as a guest judge for the show's Charlie's Angels challenge.

In July of 2009, Shelley finally met Tanya at The Hollywood Show fan convention in Burbank, California, where they met their fans and posed for pictures with them.

Shelley's third foray into series TV was Jack and Mike in 1986. The yuppie phenomenon exploded in the 1980s when more and more women began entering the workforce, climbing up the corporate ladder and holding positions previously held exclusively by men in past generations. The show explored the life of star journalist Jackie Shea (played by Shelley) and restauranteur Mike Brennan (played Tom Mason), a happily married couple with busy careers trying to find time to be with each other. In 2022, what the Cracked website (an American website based on Cracked magazine) said of Jack and Mike was - "the idea of having a show that showcased a happy couple was revolutionary for the time, for that pre-Mad About You time." So curl up and cuddle with your special someone and watch the happily married Jackie and Mike this Valentine's Season (there are a few episodes posted online).

Shelley wore the short striped top with a ribbed midriff version with Simplicity pattern number 9718 (a blouse with front button closing, a shirt-type collar, and long set-in sleeves, softly gathered at the forward shoulder seams) and Simplicity pattern number 5145 (a pair of hip hugging below-the-knee pants with front lap zipper and turn back cuffs... it had contrasting yoke, pockets, and cuffs). Matching socks and footwear finished her fun look. And Shelley looked young, fresh, and ready for the cold months ahead.

Shelley was THE quintessential Charlie Girl and appeared in many, many ads for the brand. In 1977, she appeared in a newspaper ad for Charlie that promoted "Charlie's Scrub-A-Dub-Dub," a personal care set containing a special collection of six Charlie bath essentials that was a must for every Charlie enthusiast. It contained Charlie Body Silk Foam Bath, Charlie Body Silk Soap, Charlie Body Silk Lotion, Charlie Body Silk Perfumed Powder, Charlie Concentrated Perfume Spray, and a special Charlie Bath Mitt (one side is a soft washcloth, the other was a loofa massage sponge). It was available for just $8.00 for any $5.00 or more purchase from the Charlie/Chaz collection. And, of course, Shelley appeared in the ad, Charlie Girl gorgeous as always.

"Who is going to be Charlie's newest Angel?" That was the question in everyone's mind in 1979. And in late-May of 1979, it was finally answered; the new Angel had been cast. THE effervescent Charlie Girl Shelley Hack was officially joining Jaclyn Smith and Cheryl Ladd to complete Charlie's newest Angel triumvirate. Shelley was hounded by the paparazzi from then on. She was Hollywood's newest "it girl" and she appeared in virtually every newspaper and magazine around the world. Shelley said, "It has been quite a whirl." Jaclyn Smith said, "I feel good about her. I think the three of us are going to get along great." Cheryl Ladd said, "Shelley seems like a terrific girl. I think she's good and I'll do everything I can to make her feel at home." Everything was going along well with the new Angel team; yet rumors of catfights and jealousy (which has unfairly plagued the series since its debut) still persisted and was being written about in the press.

To address the rumors, Jaclyn Smith and Cheryl Ladd talked to Charlie's Angels executive producer Aaron Spelling and convinced him to throw a cocktail party for the TV critics of America. The party would formally introduce Shelley Hack to the press and hopefully put an end to all the talks of discord among the new Angel team. It was held at ABC's West Coast offices at the ABC Entertainment Center in Century City, Los Angeles. Jaclyn, Cheryl and Shelley attended the party as well as their other cast member David Doyle who played John Bosley in the series. Aaron Spelling, his business partner Leonard Goldberg and the ABC network (where Charlie's Angels was aired) corporate brass were all in attendance as well. The Angels cast had just returned from filming at the U.S. Virgin Islands and they all raved about how much fun they had shooting the season's first episode.

Shelley appeared on many different catalogs during her modeling career. One of them was Spiegel which was a direct marketing retailer that sent their buyers to Parisian fashion shows in order to check out the latest fashion trends and introduce them to the American market. In 1976, Shelley appeared on the pages of Spiegel Spring And Summer 1976 catalog. In a spread that featured women's pantsuits, Shelley wore the Patchprinted Pantsuit, a two-piece pantsuit in a multi-colored patchwork-printed double knit polyester. The single-breasted blazer had deeply notched lapels and a three-button closing. The pants had slightly flared legs and an elasticized waist. She wore the suit with a bright white sleeveless pullover top that was styled like a shirt. Matching heeled sandals, a matching belt, and a matching scarf around her neck finished her look. And Shelley looked patchprinted gorgeous and very up-to-the-minute.

Cutter To Houston, 1983

Shelley's second TV series was Cutter to Houston. It was about three young doctors with markedly different backgrounds and motives. Shelley, Jim Metzler and Alec Baldwin starred as three young doctors who ran a small hospital in the fictitious Texas small town called Cutter, 60 miles from Houston. When they ran into major medical problems that their local facility couldn't handle, they would contact the Texas Medical Center in Houston via a computer hookup - hence the title. Shelley played Dr. Beth Gilbert, an ambitious surgeon on temporary assignment who aspired to be a heart surgeon in Houston. Jim played Dr. Andy Fenton who grew up in Cutter and was glad to be home. And Alec played Dr. Hal Wexler sent on probation to Cutter for being a little too fast and free with his prescriptions. Originally dubbed as From Cutter to Houston, the "From" was dropped when the series started airing.

for Simplicity Home Catalog, 1972

Shelley appeared on many spreads for many catalogs from the late '60s to the mid-'70s. She appeared on the pages of the Simplicity Home Catalog Fall/Winter 1972 issue. In the spread called "Add 'Em All Up," she modeled great looking get-ons that added up to a totally smashing look for fall that season. Shelley wore Simplicity pattern number 9718 (a blouse softly gathered at the forward shoulder seams with long set-in sleeves that gathered to buttoned cuffs, shirt-type collar, and front button closing) with pattern no. 5192 (a mini-jumper with a back zipper closing, a low round neckline and extended shoulders forming cap sleeves). A matching belt and a hose finished her look. And Shelley looked young, fresh, and ready for the cold months ahead.

Found Money, 1983

Shelley appeared alongside comedy legends Dick Van Dyke and Sid Caesar in the 1983 TV movie Found Money. The movie was about computer expert Max Shepherd and security guard Sam Green, two former employees of First National Bank who have been let go with little to no benefits after decades of employment. Max uses his computer skills to create an account in the bank using the money from inactive accounts that are automatically transferred to the state when not claimed after five years. Using the name Seymour Good, head of The Invisible Friend Inc., he transfers the money to accounts of ordinary citizens who bring kindness to the world. After some convincing, Sam joins Max in his quest. As good Samaritans begin receiving the money, the story is picked up by the press and is covered by reporter Leslie Phillips (Shelley Hack) who becomes Max's love interest.

Found Money, 1983

Shelley found both Dick Van Dyke and Sid Caesar "very generous to work with" but had to keep up with the their pace. "You had to work so fast, because everything was left loose," she told TV Guide. "I felt like I kind of jumped on a moving train," she added. As for Shelley's performance in Found Money, Television writer Fred Rothenberg said "Miss Hack's acting has improved since she played one of Charlie's Angels." Shelley said of the TV movie, "It's a whole type of distinctly American comedy, the closest to theater on film I'd ever gotten." Prior to Found Money, Shelley had starred in several stage plays in the early 1980s and had received excellent reviews for her performances. She was also cast in the Martin Scorsese film The King of Comedy where she held her own in scenes opposite acting giant Robert De Niro; she got excellent reviews for her performance in the film as well. Shelley had come a very long way indeed.

Shelley was THE quintessential Charlie Girl and appeared in many, many ads for the brand. In 1982, she appeared in a newspaper ad for Charlie that promoted the "Charlie Sammie Bag." It was a promotional tie-in between Charlie and Samsonite, a manufacturer of luggage, business cases, backpacks, travel accessories and the like. The promo was for Samsonite's Sammie Bag which was filled with a ready supply of Charlie cosmetics and, of course, the Charlie fragrance. The smart blue nylon bag was ready to pack and to be taken anywhere. The promo included a set from the Charlie collection of six eyeshadows, two blushes, four brush-on lip colors and a 1/4 oz. of Charlie perfume spray. Everything any Charlie Girl needed to to look gorgeous no matter where she went. The $67.00 promo item was available for just $10.00 for any $5.00 or more purchase from the Charlie or Revlon collection. And, naturally, Shelley appeared in the ad, Charlie Girl gorgeous as always.

1989 Screening

Shelley was a working actress in the 1980s. She appeared on many stage, big screen and small screen productions during the era. She also attended many functions, screening and premieres at the time. One of them was the screening of the ABC Original movie I Love You Perfect. It was held at the DGA Theatre in West Hollywood, California, in September of 1989. The screening came a month before the film was released. It starred Susan Dey and Tony Denison, and it was directed by Shelley's main squeeze, Harry Winer. Soap superstar Deidre Hall and actress Taryn Power were also in attendance.

Coats and Jackets for Winter

Shelley appeared on the cover and pages of McCall's magazine in January of 1980 (for more, check out: Bright Ways to Keep Warm). In a spread called "Light, Bright Ways to Keep Warm", she modeled three lightweight but warm  cold-weather coats that could be made by anybody. All made from McCall's pattern number 6754, patterns for a misses' coat or jacket. They were patterns for buttoned up or snap fastened coats or jackets that had collars, fold-over braids, and turned up sleeves forming cuffs. Side seam pockets could also be added. The coats looked like high-priced designer originals. They were made from fluffy quilted fabric and were guaranteed to keep anyone warm during the cold months. Shelley wore the maxi-length coat version in bright blue, the short jacket version in sunny yellow with black piping, and the knee-length version in fire engine red with white piping. The pattern was released in 1979, and Shelley appeared in newspaper features promoting it in December of that year. And of course, Shelley looked fabulous in all those newspaper features.

The 50th anniversary of Charlie's Angels is coming up this March 21, 2026. The pilot was aired on March 21, 1976; and it premiered as a TV series on September 22, 1976. It ran for five seasons and made superstars out of all its gorgeous Angels. PaleyFest LA 2026 has included the Charlie's Angels 50th Anniversary Reunion among its featured highlights. Founded in 1984, PaleyFest LA is an annual festival for television hosted by The Paley Center for Media in Los Angeles; and it features screenings specially chosen for the festival, followed by exclusive, behind-the-scenes panels with cast and creators. The pop-culture event brings together television fans with the stars and the creators of their favorite TV shows. PaleyFest LA 2026 will run from April 4 to 12 at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood. The Charlie's Angels 50th Anniversary Reunion will be held on April 6 with Kate Jackson, Jaclyn Smith, and Cheryl Ladd in attendance. 

But wouldn't it be phenomenal if Shelley Hack (the only other living Angel from the original series) joined Kate, Jaclyn and Cheryl as well? Wouldn't it be a phenomenal event if Charlie's four living Angels were all on stage, facing their fans, answering all their questions? Wouldn't that be one unforgettable (and a definitely historically significant) Angel event for all the Charlie's Angels fans around the world?

Wine Guide 1990

Shelley was among the celebrities who participated in the hour-long celebrity special released in 1990, Celebrity Guide to Wine. Spago restaurant maître d' Bernard Erpicum hosted the special and many celebrities/stars of the era participated in the educational video. Celebrity Guide to Wine was a fun and practical guide to everything about wine. It answered questions many people had regarding the drinking and serving of wine, as well as debunked some of the myths and the rules on the subject. Aside from Shelley, Dudley Moore, Whoopi Goldberg, Herbie Hancock, Kelly Le Brock, Robert Loggia, Steven Seagal, and Peter Weller joined in on the fun as well. Norm Lenzer was the narrator. It was released in both VHS and LaserDisc formats.
