Shelley first became famous as THE Charlie Girl. She became the image model of the Revlon brand in 1976 and catapulted herself and the brand to worldwide fame. Everyone wanted to be THE Charlie Girl, including the young Oprah Winfrey herself. Oprah said in 2008 that wanted to stride like The Charlie Girl and be as fabulous.
