In 1976, she was photographed by renowned fashion photographer William Connors for Harper's Bazaar magazine wearing an outfit by American fashion designer Albert Capraro. Capraro, crowned the "Prince of Fashion" by the press, was known for his dresses and evening gowns as well as his use of only American fabrics, which impressed First Lady Betty Ford who then became one of his most loyal clients (which included socialites and celebrities). In the spread, Shelley wore The Silk Pajama in Palest Apricot by Albert Capraro, It was an asymmetric apricot-colored tunic top that bared one shoulder and was worn over a pair of pajama pants in the same color. She accessorized her look with jewels by David Webb. And Shelley looked every inch a Supermodel.
