Shelley's third foray into series TV was the 1986 series Jack and Mike in which she played the lead journalist Jackie Shea opposite Tom Mason who played her restaurateur husband Mike Brennan. Jacqueline Brookes played Jackie's editor Nora Adler. The fifth episode "High Anxiety" according to tvguide.com:
"A promising young comedian (John Scott Clough) dies of a suspected cocaine overdose behind Mike's restaurant, and Mike blames himself for not being tougher on the kid when he caught him snorting."
Aside from Clough, other guest stars were James Kall as Kenny, Lycia Naff as Sammy, J.D. Walters as Bobby. Let's hope the series is finally released on DVD.
