Shelley became hot property in 1979 and 1980. She landed the coveted part of Tiffany Welles in the mega hit TV series Charlie's Angels and was hounded by the paparazzi. She was told one interviewer later that she was unprepared by the 'press bonanza" that followed her casting. On TV Tales: Charlie's Angels in 2002, she said that press people were crawling into her windows. She was surprised by the amount of interest there was in her casting; but she was determined to do her best and to keep her privacy intact throughout the entire thing.
