When Shelley became Charlie's newest Angel in 1979, she began making the rounds, appearing in talk shows and granting interviews to promote the show's upcoming season and to introduce herself to fans of the show. In Jane Pauley's show Time & Again in November of 2000, she said she was unprepared for the "press bonanza" that followed after her casting was announced.
