This is Shelley Hack

Shelley in one of her first Charlie perfume ads. Some people mistake her here for Lauren Hutton but this is Shelley Hack all the way. I love this ad because Shelley looks very fresh and very confident. The breeze in her hair, the blurred background, the fabulous suit, perfection. Shelley is the gorgeous, sexy and young sophisticate making those big long-legged strides for women all over.

Classic

A classic 1979 Charlie perfume ad with Shelley

Check This Out!

A short clip from the series Jack and Mike is on YouTube. From the episode '"Charity Ball," the scene was shot in the ballroom of the Knickerbocker Hotel in Chicago.

Shelley, as Jackie Shea, is the cancan dancer in red (and, purposely, not very good at it.) With her are her co-stars Tom Mason (Mike Brennan) and Kevin Dunn (Anthony Kubecek) and guest star Tricia O'Neil (Barbara) who, incidentally, played Tiffany Welles' kidnapper, Anne Moore, in the Charlie's Angels episode "Toni's Boys." Shelley was, of course, Tiffany.

I truly wish that Jack and Mike would come out on DVD.

Thank you very much to soundandscreen for posting this clip at YouTube. Check it out at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mg5Oi0INuHw

2011 Event

Shelley Hack was seen last January 07, 2011 at a party thrown by the Hallmark Channel at Pasadena’s prestigious Tournament House. The Hallmark Channel picked up Smash Media Production's Lucky Christmas last year. Smash Media Productions is an LA-based film company whose principals are Shelley and her husband, Harry Winer along with Susan Winer.

Other Stars in attendance were Marion Ross (Happy Days), Luke Perry and Jennie Garth (Beverly Hills 90210), Jane Seymour (Dr. Quinn Medicine Woman), Doris Roberts (Everybody Loves Raymond), Kellie Martin (the Mystery Woman TV movies) and many others. The event started with a tour. Later, there was a cocktail party and then lavish dinner where Hallmark celebrated its "Celebrate & Connect" gala.

Charlie Cat Colorized

I loved the Charlie Cat ad so much that I decided to restore the ad to its former glory. I based the colors on another photo from the same photo session. Shelley is so sophisticated here. The fur, the hair, the boots, the scarves, love them all. Shelley is a knockout.

Charlie Cat Lives!

In the 1977-78 shopping season, the Charlie Cat (an Arctic Cat Lynx 2000) was a snowmobile designed for the fashionable set. It was a joint venture between Arctic Enterprises, Inc. and Revlon who both believed that snowmobiling was a very “in” sport that generated appeal across a broad section of Americans. Among more than 400 Arctic Cat snowmobiles, a quantity of specially-decaled Charlie Cats were given away.

Of course, Shelley appeared on the promotional ads.

For more info on the Charlie Cat, go to Boss Cat Legacy at http://www.bosscatlegacy.com/acproto/prototype/acprototempro.html
