Gorgeous

Gorgeous Shelley on the cover of a See & Sew pattern kit by Butterick, circa around 1977. Shelley is wearing a cowl neck top and a flared skirt, both in bright, beautiful red. Wow!

Beyond Therapy

It seems that Shelley was very busy doing theater throughout the '80s. In this news clipping dated August 1983, she headlined the play Beyond Therapy with Love Boat's Fred Grandy. Would anyone have any information about this? And pics maybe?

Charlie's Angels: 35 Years of Gorgeous Women

The 35th Year

2011 is the 35th anniversary of the landmark 1970s TV series Charlie’s Angels. For 35 years, Charlie's Angels has been featuring the some of most beautiful women on the planet. It debuted as a phenomenon in 1976 with three gorgeous women doing the "jobs that only men can do" and has since graduated to legend. The show has spawned several reboots and, of course, starred only the most stunning women in Hollywood.

The Latest Reboot

The anniversary also coincides with the debut of the updated version of the series, Charlie’s Angels 2011.

“A cat burglar, a car thief, and a dirty cop get a chance to turn their lives around; fighting crime and working for the mysterious Charlie Townsend.” This is IMDB’s description of Charlie’s Angels 2011. Rachael Taylor, Annie Ilonzeh and Minka Kelly starred as the new angels. Nadine Velazquez guest starred as a fallen angel in the 2011 pilot. The series started strong. The plot was fine, production values were breathtaking and the angels carried guns once again.

The new angels are gorgeous (Minka Kelly is Jaclyn-Smithishly beautiful.) Nadine Velazquez as soldier-turned-angel Gloria Martinez is herself stunning but, unfortunately, her character was killed in the first episode. Nadine /Gloria will now forever be remembered as one of Charlie’s most kick-ass angels.

Too Soon

The new series received scathing reviews. So what’s new? Charlie’s Angels, from the original series to the movies, had always received scathing reviews But does it really matter? It’s tongue-in-cheek not Shakespeare. And though the 2011 series started with a bang, it seems like the show faltered and has now been cancelled (too soon.)

LET’S ALL HOPE IT RESURFACES ON ANOTHER NETWORK.
Why?

Because of all the possible angel guestings. We all want to see Kate, Jaclyn, Cheryl or Tanya reprise their angel roles; We want to see Karen, Claire, Sandra and Téa finally get to spread their angel wings; We want to see Cameron, Drew and Lucy karate chopping those bad guys once again. We even want to see Demi miraculously returning as Charlie’s wayward angel.

But most of all, we think Tiffany has stayed back East toooooo long.
We want to see her guest in Charlie's Angels 2011.
We want to see Shelley Hack back on TV!

Grapevine

Shelley appeared in the Grapevine section of Playboy in June1978 with the caption that read "Charlie's Charlie." It talks about her move from Revlon Charlie Girl to big screen actress. The caption even says "Move over (to) Lauren Hutton." A year after, this Revlon Charlie Girl became a Charlie's Angel.

Ritzy
