Shelley appeared in many spreads throughout Sears Catalog for Summer 1975. In the spread that featured summer tops and shorts, she modeled various tops and shorts ensembles. She wore a camisole-look top with elasticized smocking and shoulder straps over a pair of short-shorts in cotton denim. She also modeled a V-neck top over a pair of cuffed shorts. And she also modeled a ruffled halter-top over a pair of cuffed shorts. Shelley looked fresh and ready for those summer months of 1975.

1983 TV movie

for the 1983 TV movie Trackdown: Finding the Goodbar Killer

In 1983, Shelley appeared in her second TV movie Trackdown: Finding the Goodbar Killer. She played opposite George Segal's John Grafton, a police officer in charge of the investigation of the murder of her friend, a fellow school teacher. Her character was Logan Gay, a school teacher who eventually becomes Segal's love interest.

Chic Dungarees

Shelley appeared in an ad for Shire-Tex by Davenshire in 1972. She modeled "the denimy look of dungarees, but neater" - a denim-looking pair of trousers in polyester double-knit which had a crease that was stitched down and a fittingly elasticized waist. A turtleneck top, matching footwear and a cute newsboy cap finished her look. Shelley looked fab in her dungarees.

"Race for Life"

Shelley's second foray into series TV was via Cutter to Houston in 1983. She starred as Dr. Beth Gilbert, an ambitious surgeon working in the small town of Cutter who wanted to do heart surgery in a big city hospital in Houston, Texas. Her costars were Jim Metzler as Dr. Andy Fenton, a GP who grew up in Cutter and was glad to be home; and Alec Baldwin as Dr. Hal Wexler, a ladies man internist on probation in Cutter for writing unnecessary prescriptions. The series had a short run, but was aired in Germany in 1988 as Die Texas-Klinik (The Texas Clinic) when Alec Baldwin was beginning to make a name for himself.

Shelley was THE quintessential Charlie Girl. She imbibed the ideal of the brand - gorgeous, sexy and young. All the print ads she did for the brand had her chicly striding in places all over the world. One ad featured her doing just that in London, England. Clad in chic casual duds by no other than Bill Blass, she was photographed striding past the South Bank Lion at the east end of Westminster Bridge with Big Ben in the background. Shelley was an inspiration.

30th ANNIVERSARY: The Stepfather

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!!! It's the 30th anniversary of the release of the film The Stepfather. The film was released in June of 1987 and has since become a cult classic. Directed by Joseph Ruben, it starred Terry O'Quinn in the title role, as Jerry Blake, a man who had the knack of marrying into the "perfect" family and then killing the family off when he deems they're not perfect after all. Shelley Hack played Susan Maine, the woman who marries Jerry and is willing look past the cracks she's beginning to notice. Jill Schoelen played Stephanie, Susan's daughter by her first marriage. Stephanie doesn't like Jerry, finds him creepy and is determined to find out who he really is. The story was penned by Carolyn Lefcourt, Brian Garfield andDonald E. Westlake, who got screenplay credit.

The Stepfather has been released in DVD

The film spawned two sequels Stepfather II in 1989 and Stepfather III in 1992. They had different directors and weren't as good. It also spawned a remake in 2009 which received mixed reviews. The original movie however is a great watch and is currently available on DVD - which also contains a featurette on the making of the film. If you can get it, watch it.

Cloaked in Charisma

Shelley appeared on many spreads throughout Seventeen magazine's December 1970 issue. In the spread called "The New Heroine: Cloaked in Charisma", she modeled a romantic medieval-inspired cape that was perfect for the cold months ahead. She wore the "Collarful Cape", a collared Gothic brown ankle-length cape which was kept in place with a string - by Larry Levine. A pair of matching boots and a Geretek scarf around her head finished her look. Shelley looked like a romantic heroine in her Gothic-inspired ensemble.
