Shelley appeared in many spreads throughout Seventeen magazine's November 1965 issue. In the spread called "Head for the Hills", she modeled fashions that were perfect for the ski slopes in winter. Parkas, sweaters, fitted stretch pants, mittens and boots were the order of the day. And of course they all had to be chic, 1965 chic.

Shelley modeled "Parkas with that Velvet Touch". She wore a pumpkin-colored velveteen parka lined with Vyeron fiber-fill by Madmax. It had a hood with a furry fox rim. She wore it with matching pumpkin-colored pants by Davenshire. Gloves by Grandoe finished her look. Shelley looked like one sophisticated skier.

Jack and Mike Pilot 2

Shelley's third foray into series TV was Jack and Mike. It was about a married yuppie couple living in Chicago, trying to find time for each other in their busy schedules. Shelley played Jackie Shea, a star columnist at The Mirror, a widely-circulated Chicago paper. Her column was awaited by everyone every week. Her husband was Mike Brennan (played by Tom Mason), a successful restaurateur about to open his third restaurant.

The pilot was released in VHS format and distributed in Europe, in the Netherlands and Belgium; but only the pilot episode. The entire episode was kept as is; but subtitles in Dutch were burned into the media for the convenience of the target audience. The episode runs for 90 minutes and was originally aired in September 16, 1986.

After the opening credits, the episode begins with a rape case. Ann Pulaski experiences car problems and is offered help by a stranger claiming to be her church-mate by giving her a lift. The stranger then takes her to a remote area and rapes her. Later, the police arrests school teacher Chris Sykes who drives the same car as Ann's assailant. In court, Ann identifies Chris as the rapist; and he is sentenced. But Chris maintains his innocence and insists that she is mistaken. Meanwhile , The Mirror's star columnist, Jackie Shea, emerges from her office building to meet up with her restaurateur husband, Mike Brennan, for lunch.

Shelley was The Charlie Girl from 1976 to 1982; and she appeared on many promotional pics for the Revlon brand. In 1980, Charlie and it's male perfume counterpart Chaz (also by Revlon) teamed up to promote the 1980 Winter Olympics which was held in Lake Palcid, New York from Feb 13 to 24 of that year. Pics of Shelley together with the then current Chaz Man Tom Selleck were taken. The Sporting Life Kit containing both Revlon Charlie and Chaz products (the perfumes, Charlie Body Silk, Charlie Body Silk After Bath Tonic and Chaz Moisturizing After Shave Balm) became available. Shelley was already a superstar by then due to Charlie's Angels; but Tom Selleck would later become famous himself via his own TV series Magnum, P.I.

Shelley was one of the Supermodels of her era. She appeared in many commercials, magazine covers, spreads and ads. In 1974, she appeared in an ad for Saga Mink. Back then, pre-PETA, the ultimate wardrobe piece in every woman's closet was a mink coat. And Shelley modeled an updated version of the must-have in a Saga Mink ad with the tagline "Re-Think Mink. Right Now."

Shelley became a Charlie's Angel in 1979; and, as with all the Angels before her, she received a lot of attention from the press. In Point Dume Beach, Malibu, where part of the episode "Angel Hunt" was filmed, Shelley and her co-Angels Jaclyn Smith and Cheryl Ladd were hounded by the paparatzzi. Many candid pics of the three were taken there.

Shelley appeared in many catalogs throughout her modeling career. One of them was the Saks Fifth Avenue catalog Folio Collections. Saks Fifth Avenue is a high-end department store located in Manhattan, New York City, that sells luxury goods. In the Folio Collections: Saks Fifth Avenue Signs of Spring and Summer 1973 catalog, she modeled sporty separates for those cool spring summer months.

She modeled a yellow short-sleeved, short placketed knit shirt under V-neck cardigan ribbed at the waist. She accessorized it with a knitted beret in yellow as well to complement her outfit. Shelley looked summery and ready for those outdoor activities.
