Shelley tried out her luck in Hollywood in the late '70s. She had become famous as THE Charlie Girl and was sought after by many a producer. But she was careful in picking the roles she accepted. She wanted to become a famous actress like her idol Katharine Hepburn, also a Connecticut native.
