Shelley was considered one of the glamorous new beauties taking over Hollywood when she joined Charlie's Angels in 1979. THE Charlie Girl/Supermodel hit the jackpot when she was cast; it was like winning a beauty pageant. But all the Angels went through a lot of criticism, especially when it came to the way they looked. In fact, every Hollywood beauty goes through the same thing. In 1980, Makeup artist to the stars George Masters gave his opinions on the leading beauties of the time. He pointed out the beauty flaws of Shelley, Loni Anderson, Cheryl Ladd, Elizabeth Taylor, Barbra Streisand, Suzanne Somers and Angie Dickenson; and made recommendations on how to fix them. But beauty is in the eyes of the beholder. It is the "imperfections" make us uniquely who we are and make us stand out.
