Shelley became a Supermodel in the mid-70s; and, by the late '70s, she tried her luck in Hollywood. She took up acting classes at the prestigious Herbert Berghof Studio in New York and later got a cameo role in the Woody Allen film Annie Hall. After that, she got a leading lady role in a feature film and a TV movie, as well as a guest appearance on a TV series; before getting her big break as Angel no. 5 Tiffany Welles on Charlie's Angels.
